Introduction

The American Board of Psychological Hypnosis represents the highest level of certification for psychologists in clinical and experimental hypnosis. Applicants must have a doctoral degree, membership or eligibility for membership in the American Psychological Association, a minimum of 5 years of acceptable experience with hypnosis and meet other requirements. Individuals seeking the Diplomate in Clinical Hypnosis must also be licensed or certified and possess or be eligible for the American Board of Professional Psychology Diplomate in a clinical or counseling area.
