This page is still under some major construction, both physical and conceptual.  I plan to use this page and others to provide information on how I, and others, integrate or use psychology, Eastern and Native American healing concepts, and the Martial Arts for personal development and healing both physical illness and psychological distress.  I plan to include articles I've written, photos, and  discussion about how I, and others, make use of these disciplines.

While my own particular martial arts orientation is the Korean art of Tang Soo Do and Hapkido, I hope to include information from any art that proves useful.

To start with, take a look at the first installment of my article, What I Needed to Know About Being a Psychologist I Learned at Karate School.  In this article I describe several lessons from the martial arts and how they applied to my own growth and work as a psychologist and how they apply to the development of psychology students.
